Presidential Candidates Highlight Democratic Party's Commitment to Equal Rights for Every American

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean and Rick Stafford, chair of the DNC's GLBT Caucus, issued the following joint statement after tonight's GLBT Forum sponsored by LOGO and the Human Rights Campaign:

"Tonight our Democratic presidential candidates showed our Party's commitment to equal rights and protections under the law for every American. From allowing openly gay soldiers to defend our country, to ending discrimination in the workplace, to ensuring that LGBT Americans are covered under federal hate crimes laws and renewing our commitment to HIV prevention, research and treatment programs, Democrats are committed to core principles of equality and dignity for every American. Together, they showed once again that ours is truly the Party that values all American families."
