Ohio's 100,000 Calls for Victory

The Ohio Democratic Party set an ambitious goal for their 50-State Turnout events. Their goal was to make 100,000 phone calls to Ohio voters. All across the state they set up phone bank locations - the goal was to have one phone bank in every single county. With those locations set, Ohio Democrats hit the phones on Saturday, dialing for Victory in 2006.

and Jay Goyal, Democratic nominee for the Ohio State House's 73rd Distirct, at a

I am from jefferson county and had sent numerous request to volunteer after being solicited to. I was NEVER contacted once by local party people. It was always stated that help was needed and all were encouraged to volunteer. I had been so upset by our present leadership in washington and now feel ignored by my own party. All of these emails also wanted donations. I am not in a position to do so but would have gladly gave my time to help win back one or both houses of congress. It seems that I was not deemed worthy to help and that is sad. I am sure that I am not the only democrat who has been snubbed by their party in a time that they so deperately need to take back control. I will voice my dissatisfaction come election day.

John, why not take it upon yourself to contact the party?! These are volunteers! If everyone had your "wait and be served" attitude we'd be forever doomed!
